I had one of these as a kid, but it got lost in the mists of time :( Probably for the best though, because it ended up as a bit of a monstrosity with a 911 flatnose shell on it!
So this is a rere version, with some updates... as usual just for the fun of it!

It's using the Team CRP Futaba FX-10 front suspension. It's a bit of a pain to make it fit- but totally worth the effort! Improves the suspension so much at the front :)
You have to remove enough material that I thought a reinforcing plate across the top of the chassis was a good idea.

At the back it's using rc-go (I think ?) parts for the anti-roll bar, which also makes it quite easy to adapt to three link suspension, which goes some way to helping the roll characteristics... not so much with fixing the amount of unsprung weight!

Still a work in progress... front is under damped and over sprung, and the rear has the opposite issue. I won't be too surprised if something breaks in the rear three link setup either!
I know it's not ever going to handle brilliantly, but I find it a lot of fun messing about with these older designs :)

Nice one. I like the chassis/ body split decals design.

The Hornet is such a good looking thing, and yours looks great, I've not seen some of those rear end hop ups before, very interesting
