This was one of the most fun builds I've ever done. I absolutely loved it! The quality of the parts is outstanding, and there is so much aluminium used. I fitted the belt drive option that it comes with which runs really nicely (it uses a belt or chain instead of a driveshaft to connect the front and rear gearboxes) . It also comes with a slipper clutch and full ball bearings as standard. I chose to fit the 20T G2X motor and a Hobbywing Quicrun 1060 ESC. I've done a couple of light runs to set it up, but this one will be a beach runner and I can't wait to give it a proper run. I'm really impressed with this right out of the box though.

2 1 A few in-build photos added Slipper clutch adjustment point Belt drive Full ball bearings included with kit

Now that’s what I call a buggy. I generally don’t do buggies but that could turn me!!!!

Haha no it's not a budget runner mate, but I did get it for a very good price, and only needed to buy the motor on top as already had everything else. Nice also not to have a body shell to paint!!

It's a shame the battery connector can't be hidden but other than that, I'm loving this buggy. Looks awesome.

Thanks @woomagic, yeah not many places to hide the wiring with a pipe frame, but I reckon it can be made neater by wrapping it around the frame. That's what I'll be trying to do before running it properly.

All the cars in the Kyosho Legendary series are truly Legendary! Like the looks of the Javelin but the Optima Turbo even more, so I went that one. I'm really looking forward to build it.

What a cool looking buggy! I love the roll cage and seeing all the parts inside, but is getting debris inside a concern?

Nice one @Tamiyastef I like the Optima Turbo too. Enjoy the build!
@CameronPS I'm not that concerned about debris as there aren't many places for it to get stuck. The gearboxes are sealed, the drive belt is covered, and the whole chassis is open so it should just fall right out, but I guess I'll found out!! I fitted a waterproof servo and ESC, and the receiver is covered by the driver figure so the electronics should be good too.
