And.... the bodies are done!
Finished these two bodies finally - only taken me a decade or so!
Two bodies, in designs I dreamed up when I got them.... as usual with me, took 10+ years to get them complete. They're not perfect, but I like them!
Body No.1: South African Mini
As a nod to my in-laws, I present my SA Flag mini. Simple (lol) multi-colour design, painted over years. I won't say who it was, but someone forgot to mask the rear window! No matter, it doesn't look too bad. Had heaps of issues with uneven paint, and paint mask bleed, but in the end, the result came out good enough for me!
Body No.2: Mad Max Mini
A body design spurred on by my good mate Willy Chang, who provided the decals and the basic idea of a Mad Max MFP Pursuit vehicle.... but it was my twisted idea to do it on a Mini body and chassis! Plenty of issues with the many, many stripes (all paint), and the yellow came out a bit too Camel Yellow (I was expecting a bit more bright yellow), but another I'm happy with. Now, if I can just get the tail light decals to stick properly!
Very happy with how some of the details came out on these, especially the headlights, which took a bit of work, and include my home-made light buckets (from disposable contact lens containers). I'll add each of these cars to my showroom in time as a separate model, with chassis details (both currently M03, with lots of hopups), but for now, it's just the bodies. And yes, I will trim the body posts, once I work out the perfect loaded ride height.
Hope you like them!

They both look great and good together as well. All paint! That's just awesome.

Not that easy to paint. I love alternative paint schemes like this. Nice job
