Thought you guys out there would like to see a kyosho buggy which I've never seen before.
Came across this and bought it straight away as Ive never seen one for sale, the kyosho Sling shot from 1989. This model was sold in kit form and has all the top end parts and construction you always get with the brand kyosho. It has fiberglass top and bottom chassis's and is suplied with a full ball bearing kit straight from the box. What I truly find interesting is its drive belt system which drives both the front and rear gearboxes. You can also see a heat sink which is connected to the motor plate housing. It realy is a unique design for kyosho at the time, similar belt driven buggys released around then from yokomo and proved to be track winning buggys.
Any extra info from you guys regarding this buggy would be much appreciated especially if you raced one back in the days.
Happy rc collecting to everyone. Pinpoint.

1 1 1 Double belt system very unique. 1 2 1 1 Full fibreglass lower and top plate chassis's. 1 Stapled instructions... 1 Decals sealed. 1

Nice slingshot! I used to race one of these at our local dirt oval when I was a kid.

Cool love the name and l have never seen one...untill now!

Great find! I bought, restored and sold one about 10 years ago. I think there was also a version with the black plastic shocks instead of the Goldies available.
The way I see it you have a nice aftermarket motor mount here. The original motor mount (at least on my car) was a black plastic piece and therefore not ideal for moving away heat from the motor.

Thank you guys for the info, much appreciated.
