These are all of my vintage brushed motors not occupying space in one of my r/c vehicles that I've randomly accumulated over the last ~35+ years in the hobby and it's grown a little since I last posted a motor collection photo 10 years ago. Some were purchased new many years ago when they were readily available while others were acquired along the way through the purchase of used r/c models or just the motors themselves. Additional brushed motors (not pictured) that are currently in some of my r/c vehicles include a Technipower (Supershot), Technigold (Astute), an older version of the Speedworks 427 4WD (Skyline R32), two pink Atco-Power motors (Dyna Storm), Reedy Tru-Stock (Yokomo YZ-10), an Integy 55t lathe motor (RGT Bowler Jeep Rubicon) and a Team Orion 'Havok'. I have some plans for a few of these motors but they are awaiting the completion of a couple of projects before finding their new home. Believe it or not, like quite a few r/c 'dinosaurs' on TC, I continue to use brushed motors in most of my vehicles but have accumulated a few brushless vehicles for variety. Thanks for looking and hope you enjoy.

Lovely collection of motors buddy! Technigold and black endurance are my favourites with the fondest memories for me! I love Demon motors too used a few of them back in the day gorgeous looking motors! and by the way l am one of those dinosaurs too! Iol l still use brushed motors and NiMH batteries! But to be fair a brushed lower turn motor does good enough for me! I used 15t & 18t motors mostly with trusted VP batteries and they are still up to the task and work great for me! I suppose l should get into Brushless one day but draw the line with lipo! Haha can't teach an old dog new tricks surpose!!

That Kinwald signature can is great. The classic Technigold, I remember when that was the height of can tech speed.

@MAD-BEE: Thank! lol, yes brushed motors and NiMH/NiCDs (many decades old and still working!!) remain the mainstay for most of my collection because I'm almost 50 y/o and have too much nostalgia to let them go. However, in an effort to NOT be that totally stubborn old man/old dog, I have ventured into the world of brushless/Lipo power over the past 10 years or so and currently have five vehicles that are brushless/lipo powered. You should get at least one to enjoy the ballistic speed and power, and who knows, maybe break an ankle!

@GoFast80: Thanks, man! Yes, I had two of those Kinwald motors since I purchased them new waaaay back in the early/mid 90's for, of all things, my scratch-built catamaran! lol They didn't stay in that boat long and were removed and stored unused since then. I sold one quite a few years ago and the other kept around for nostalgia sake when I decided to participate in my first Vintage Offroad Nationals in 2014 where Kinwald just happened to be there representing AE so I brought the motor with me and had him sign it.

That's a great story. Would love to attend a vintage offroad meet sometime...I remember buying by first Tamiya car - the Super Champ - and then going to see racers at the local track and they told me the Super Champ was already 'an old hat' around there, must've been '85. Between that and a girl at the hobby shop telling me the batteries lasted for 10 minutes and after that it 'gets a little monotonous' it's a wonder I have any positive RC memories lol. You caught Brian sadly just a few years before his passing.

Love these old motors, have done a bit collecting myself, and like to run brushed too. It is an awesome collection you have there, cool with the Kinwald signed motor, and I really hav e a soft spot for the Technipower.

@GoFast80: Yes, the VONATs were fun so I would recommend it if you ever have the chance. I'm shocked that Kinwald passed away and didn't know that until you mentioned it.
