Great race machine for the neighborhood
This buggy was fun to build. I had it on my shelf for five years before busting it open and getting it together. Added some race buggy wheels like the ones I use at my local indoor clay track. I do wish there were Tamiya class off-road and on-road in my area. Anyway I added some aluminum to the mid section of the frame to balance the weight distribution. This Hotshot is very fast and handles like a dream. The mono shock technology and sway bars are an amazing touch that Tamiya put into this buggy.

Kontemax: Good question. The narrow front wheels without spikes allow for more push from the rear wheels reducing over-steer on high bite surfaces. as I said in the narrative, it handles like a dream. I first tried the concept when racing 4wd race buggy at my local track. created a very different steering characteristic. I have fun thinking outside the box.
