Trying to build a Bear Hawk from parts
Hey guys, I'd been looking for an original Bear Hawk complete with its box, manual, and radio gear with no luck, and no answers to my wanted ad, so I thought I'd try and build my own. This is currently a work in progress, and uses a Blitzer Beetle chassis, a NIB Bear Hawk body set, and other spares that were lying around! I haven't decided what I'm doing for a paint scheme yet, but I doubt it will be box art!

Looks great Phil and such a cool body on these but agree the boxart is a little underwhelming on these and l always love boxart on everything! l am looking forward to seeing what you do with this!
Black body with the silver roll cage and the bear hawk decals would look cool maybe? Especially with that wheel choice!

This is such a good looking buggy, I just love it! The black wheels and CVA's look good on this. I bet it looks ace with a driver added and some matt black racing stripes, even unpainted

Thanks guys! I'm definitely leaning towards dark colours for a stealthy look for the main body. I've also seen paint that you can air brush on that gives a really good chrome finish. You'd think it's bright chrome, and I'm thinking of trying that for the roll cage. It might give it an 80's Chromoly Mongoose BMX look!! That'd be pretty cool if I could pull it off A big IF there though!

Looking good, SMS make a really high quality chrome paint.

Those wheels and tyres really suit the car, especially with the black CVAs. The body looks good with darker colours, I painted mine in gunmetal, but with those dark wheels a white body would be great also. Whatever you do, I'm sure it will look fab, these are such a fun buggy to drive, very underrated as a back yard / beach basher.

Thanks MP, I'll check SMS out.
Thanks too Mad Ax, I agree that gunmetal looks really good, though white would contrast nicely with the black. Decisions, decisions...

Nice car- white body and black wheels for me. But the suggested colors seem pretty for me, too.
