Hi everyone,
This was Kyosho's first electric 1/10th scale buggy. It was released in 1978 and modeled on the EMPI Imp dune buggy.
I'm very glad to have this beautiful and significant buggy in my collection.
Thanks for looking and have a great week!

Oh wow, that is so cool, and in very good, or even excellent, condition. Great find. Did you have to do any restoration or did you find it like this?

Thanks guys. Hi Mtbkym01, I only had to clean up the chassis and repaint the body. I don't know where I could buy the correct decals for it, so I made an attempt with the MCI design your own decals section. It's similar to the original but now sports a little bit of my own flair.

I had a 09 Peanuts. It shock itself apart everytime it ran. Okay here is my question, why do all the Beach Buggy style models never has anyone driving?

Limitations of the manufacturing process? Cost factors? The boss's preference?

Love it MP and like you said a real piece of kyosho history! Fascinating looking buggy! I had my eye on one the other day but missed out! Was nothing as nice as this though! Have you given it a little drive around on the carpet indoors to see it on the move?

Thanks Madbee, I don't even think to check how these work anymore, sad to say but I rarely use any of my R/C cars lately. I should definitely make more of an effort.

A stunning example that is. Dune Buggy’s make for great RC models don’t they.

They certainly do!
