I've had this kit for a year and finally got around to building it recently. It's all stock out of the box with the exception of a few MCI racing Super Shot decals to make it a closer clone of the original. I've included a few photos of it alongside my vintage Super Shot. It's nice that this kit includes full ball bearings (like they all should by now!!), and the 25T GT Tuned motor, but it would have been nicer if the motor had a unique label on it, like they did with the rere Bigwig. It's a missed opportunity in my opinion. However, this is a very special car to me, and a beautiful kit. Having never been able to build an original Super Shot from a NIB kit, this is the next best thing, and it didn't disappoint! As always, thanks for looking and comments are welcome. Cheers.

Yeah totally agree @mackerb03. It's great to have one I'll run properly, but the original with its Technipower motor, and twin resistors is, well, original! No rere attempt can ever beat that!

This the Hotshot and Avante are so special in the tamiya timeline absolute classic 4wd buggies!
I own a Hotshot but never had a Super shot or Avante before but thats something l will put right one day!!! Looking fantastic Phil! Fantastic looking buggies!

Thanks Cameron, the original '86 Super Shot was certainly a very special thing BITD and still is today! My favourite buggy of all time!!

Also I forgot to say I had one of these in 1986 built it myself & won several trophies racing it at my local club - great car!!!!!!
