Tamiya Egress (1989)
This original example is an amazing engineering achievement, even in today's standards. With it's graphite chassis, ball diffs, centre one-way, titanium screws & distinctive upper arm blue turnbuckles. Of course it couldn't compete with the lighter cars some will say, but who cares if it looks this good with that low stance. We salute the designers & engineers at Tamiya! They had created another icon.
The 2013 re-release have addressed some of the fragility issues and I'm glad another generation is able to share in the joy of these beautiful machines. It is certainly a joy to build.

Looks great. I love how over engineered they are.
