Tamiya TB Evolution II Limited Edition

Finally snagged a TB Evo II for the collection!


I've been looking for a NIB kit for 1.5 to 2 years. Found a seller in Japan with a NIB Evo 1, 2, and 3 up for grabs. A little negotiating and I got a price reduction but still paid a nice chunk of change for this amazing piece of Tamiya history.

The Evo I is amazing (have that one too), but the Evo II saw many significant upgrades but still has the vintage goodness you want.

Spec build (per manual) to include sealing the carbon edges with super glue. I use fine tipped cotton swabs from eBay to seal carbon chassis bits and results in no mess. One-way was not installed in favor of a gear differential.

Installed the 72T spur so this thing will be a rocket ship but I will probably never drive it. At least for a while.

For now has my Lexus SC430 Eclipse Advan shell.
