Christmas present from my Mrs xx
Hi guys l will start with Happy Christmas and prosperous healthy new year to you all!
I don't know about anyone else but we are feeling the pinch financially so this Christmas we went steady and set a 50 pound limit on a gift for each other! Well no Tamiya for Christmas this year then for me??
Wait!!! I saw this on a buy it now and it was a gamble (see advertising shot of the kit in pic 4 and 5) what was in there and the amount of damage? but for 50 quid l pulled the trigger and told the Mrs you have just got me my Christmas pressie darling lol...brilliant she said what is it? Well l am hopeful its a just about complete Super Hotshot l said?? Well guys l got lucky this is like new condition it looks like someone built it and had a smash very early on and pulled it apart and put it back in the box in bits for some reason? The damage is front arm broken front gearbox case broken( l have them in parts bin) missing rear shocks and wheels tryes! I am over the moon! I have gone through it and pretty much everything I need for it I have already apart from the wheelset and I have to buy and rear shocks! So even with that extra costs a bargain I would say! Plus the super shot what a classic come on yeah they changed the name slightly but still what an awesome looking buggy!
I am working tomorrow but did get Christmas day off this year so can't complain but can't wait to start this little project!
Thanks for looking guys comments welcome and hope you've all had a great Christmas see you on the club 2023!
Cheers James.
Update 1/1/23
I have ordered the parts l need to complete this apart from gold wheels and spiked tyres! So if anyone has a set and wants to sell them let me know!
Update....7/1/23 all parts now arrived and starting the build this weekend and rain is coming...perfect!
Cheers James

Merry Charismas James. that is awesome find, looks practically brand new, probably got run over by a car or smashed into a wall on it's first run. Can't wait to see some sweet action pictures at the beach once you fix it up.

Quite a find James!
You can let us know if there is anything you are missing and we can look through the parts boxes.
Maybe I'll get started and build my Super Hotshot too, it will be a piece of jewelry with those gold rims B-)
Merry Christmas mate!
MAD-BEE
Yeah agree buddy those gold rims are lush on this the Super shot/Super Hotshot and of course on the original Hotshot actually a must have on the standard Hotshot just like the original boxart!

Great find. I like your motor collection - I've been collecting motor boxes lol, when I buy a motor to fit in a car I put the box on show. A bit sad I know haha. I do like them though, I've got quite a few now. All but one are new; the oldest is a black can sport tune new in box with a Beatties price sticker on it.
MAD-BEE
No definitely not sad mate l totally get it and the little boxes look super cool on display!
My motor display is a cheap one really l have a few vintage motors but mostly new ones but they just look so pretty haha! But I am not getting silly and starting to buy motors for mega money no way and some motors really are absolutely silly money! Cheap and cheerful will do me and looks just as nice in the display box! Cheers James.

Totally agree. I've seen some of the prices! I'm more than happy with brand new shiny.....cheaper.......motors. I've got the BZ but I now want the RZ and TZ. Where did you get the motor display stand from?
MAD-BEE
The display cabinet are from Amazon and the stands too they are clear lighter display stands! Yeah l can not justify spending £100/£200 on a little motor no matter how cool it is how much l want it of course l would love to add the likes of a Dynatech, Acto-power, and co to my little collection but my Technigold was my limit on spending that one was £60. I could not sleep at night if l bought a motor for £100+ kind of money!
Plus like you said the new motors really are pretty little gems indeed!
I have the RZ and looking at the other two in the near future they would look super cool in a line up all together on display! Good luck and have fun with the motor/box collection mate.
