Crikey that was quick Phil! Very nice mate its a big talking point about if tamiya should of released the original HS2 first and they probably should of but the more l see of this BHM version the more its pulling me in to be honest! How do you feel about this kit now its in front of you? The boxart is stunning as usual from tamiya. but buddy the Bearings kit and GT motor seem to be missing from yours?
Haha like it! but l love this that is on the specs on the box mate says a 540 with a special sticker! BOOM!! Damn that's me sold! Just kidding its a nice touch from tamiya to do that! Plus its a cool looking silver can now! and the original HS2 only had a standard silver can too originally so makes sense! I can't wait to see it built mate you always do a great job so going to look fantastic and will look super cool with your HS BHM and WO BHM as a trio!
Very nice mate l love all tamiya's in truth even the not so popular ones! and have read and seen this HS2 BHM is getting a little bit of flack but I think this is a tamiya that will prove its place with the greats in time l will bet on that!
Enjoy the build Phil sure wish l was building it!

Thanks James. I wonder if Tamiya were concerned that if they rere'd the HSII first no one would buy this? They know there's huge demand for it, and suckers like me would buy this version anyway!! The kit looks better in person than the photos showed. Very high quality as you'd expect. Yeah I was kidding about it not having bearings and a GT Tuned motor, but of course you're right about the silver can. It looks great with the sticker and is a really nice touch. It has red and black wires, and to me looks like the sport tuned motor, but apparently it is only a standard 540. I didn't want to open the bag to get it out last night, but I'll take a photo of it and update. It looks great. It's fine if people don't like this BHM kit, it makes us individual, but they're missing out! Haha. I like the high roof line on it. Yellow shocks were an option on the original, and there's the option of buying a TBG shell and wing and painting it your own way and changing the A and B parts to get back the lower roof line back. I can't wait to build it mate. I was tempted to build it overnight!! But... I'm waiting for bearings!!! Haha.

Yeah l knew you were kidding about the bearings & motor buddy but tamiya has included a special sticker lol sorry l got to stop saying that Phil! A close up pic of that motor would be cool! Seriously though l must admit l am getting more tempted each time l see this HS2 BHM its really growing on me! Like you said it could be tweaked in many small ways! But the roof high is showing the driver nicely it looks spot on with this buggy, not sure l would change that but some l can see might! if tamiya does the standard original HS2 yeah it needs to be squat like it was originally. Yeah well done Phil not cracking and building it with nasty bushings lol its going to be worth the wait and no cutting or painting...that's awesome! l am holding out for the original but can see myself definitely picking one of these BHM version up at some point in the future l think it would be a mistake not too. I bet after you post yours mate built looking awesome l will just crack like an 80s brittle plastic!
I can't afford to buy both versions is the trouble lol
But l am weak! Tamiya has us all hypnotised and under their control l think for sure sometimes!
I need to find a money tree! Rare things to find though! Look forward to seeing this one posted Phil have fun with it buddy.
