I ended up with this shell as it was left over from a TA02 Calibra kit that I'd bought for the chassis to use on my Street Scorcher.
The intention was to use this body as a runner on a TT02R chassis instead of wrecking a Ford GT MK2 shell. Which seemed like a good reason to use up some half spent rattle can's as well.
So after much masking and squirting Gunmetal, Black, Silver, Transparent Yellow, Metallic Green & Gold it, this is what I ended up with. I feel it will need its own Drift chassis now a some point though.

just stunning mate! you have incredible skills and patience to create a paint job like that - I'm blown away.
I'd be super proud to have that in my collection!
Amazing!!

Thanks mate, if I'm honest it has turned out better than I thought it would. It is very enjoyable playing around with the Transparent paint. You never really know what you're going to end up with though till the clear film comes off. She'll be in full view in the living room for a while that's for sure

Stunning outcome Ken, has similar traits to my Street Cred WRX with those wheels. Outstanding

You have skills man you nailed that! I love it!
I have learnt over the years it is all about being patience doing these bodyshells and quality tape and the right type of tapes! Saying that your lines are so sharp and the other ingredient is skill you are way better then me at this! next level! Not easy to get a result like this mate. Great job!

Cheers, Kym, the wheels are some eBay specials that I’ve borrowed of my 2CV for the time being. They are solid drift wheels that are great for shelf purposes as the don’t get flat spots or crack up like rubber tyres.

Thank you MAD-BEE
Tamiya tape all the way for a good finish for sure. I also score very lightly along the edges of the tape after a few coats of paint and that seems to work for me getting clean lines. And as you say patience is the biggest key to it.

As usual the standard for the rest of us to achieve. Simple but stunning graphics and great photos as well

Thanks Busdriver, very much appreciated. I took a bit of inspiration from Opel’s 80’s touring/rally cars and put my own spin on it.
