Wild Willy 2, XB Body by Tamiya
These three were built to run, but the bodies will get saved for a future time. My kids may appreciate what their dad made them more when they are older.
In the meantime, I came across Wild Willy 2 XB bodies ~ and for all of the work and parts Wild Willy bodies take, these XBs seem like a good value and pain free (for me) for my kids running them.
The XBs come assembled (without glue) and unpainted except for the driver helmet, gloves, boots and spare tire. It doesn't look too difficult to disassemble and add a few additional paint details to the driver and cockpit.
The XB driver helmet is done nicely. I personally prefer fully painted drivers to the unpainted white plastic.
I have a few extra of these so we might try another fun full painted look on one.

The XB bodies are good value given the time it takes to do the painting and details ourselves. I hadn't realised that you could buy an XB body of the WW2! I prefer your painting skills though Cameron, and your spare gas cans can hold fuel too unlike on the XB!! They all look great.

Thank you! Yes I think so too. They were about $60-70 USD each. For all of the parts, screws, and labor to make them it seems well worth it. Although I also personally love building and painting them too.
With these particular bodies I needed something we could run for fun without caring much for the inevitable bumps and scratches.

I found the Wild Willy 2 XB bodies at rcMart on eBay.
