Redcat 1979 Monte Carlo lowrider.
This is the more affordable chassis of the two available.
It comes with a 6 channel stick radio, battery and charger.
First impressions were mixed, the chrome detailing is decals, which will ultimately prove to be problematic with adhesion.
The chassis looks so odd and initially a bit cheap looking with banana connectors on the esc and wire routing which raises concerns that it could be an issue (it isn't, I checked).
Apart from the chrome decals the body is a masterclass of three lexan parts assembled together with front and rear light buckets ready to accept led's.
There is an interior which is understandably a little shallow but effective nonetheless.
Four normal sized 30kg servos control the lowrider 'dancing' of this model, with a fifth micro servo controlling the steering.
The 6 channel stick radio is superb with a LCD screen and 8 buttons/levers to issue different servo commands to create the 'dance' of the lowrider
A really ingenious release, clever design but also so simple.
Great lexan 3-piece body with light buckets
Magnetic body attachment
6 channel stick radio
Lots of hopups to chrome it further
Battery and usb charger included
No UK distributor, need to import
Chrome decals won't last if car is driven
Shame there's not a 1/8 scale version with a hardbody.
Body magnets too strong! A bit tough to remove.
I await any more lowrider releases with great anticipation
