Rlaarlo AK-917 carbon fibre chassis
Rlaarlo's first speed car release.
This is the carbon fibre chassis version
This will mainly be a runner, I have swapped with the alloy version, the following items
LED lights (all lights on or off)
Normal wheel hex adaptors
Plastic wheels
Swapped bodies so this has no fan
I have done this because the carbon version will be a single motor runner and with inevitable crashes, less parts and complications will lead to faster and easier maintenance hopefully
I never intended to purchase the first release but it was on sale.
The spec is now...
Hopup 52t spur gear installed
Hopup 40t pinion installed
120amp 2-4s lipo compatible ESC
ESC connector changed to ec3
3660 sized 3900kv brushless motor
Hopup sliding motor mount installed.
Looks great, this version had poor quality control, 3 screws were rusty (were replaced) and a few screws had too much locktite so partially stripped (replaced)
The chassis has since had a clear chassis protector installed and numbers added
I have a set of foam tyres on hand if I manage to approach higher speeds (70mph+)
UPDATE 28/07/2024
Initial test run on street obtained 37mph on 2s at approx 70% trigger. There's a couple of divots in the road which cause enough bounce to catch the underside front splitter, so need a smoother road

Re-Bugged
Stunning, just stunning body with a chassis to match. It must fly with a 3900kv motor in there!
