I started this build in 2011, I finally finished it this week! Although for most of that time it sat half built in a box!
It had it's first run today. I fitted Wild One front uprights and shocks all round. I made use of the fantastic Knight Customs motor and wheel covers.
The colour is VW radar red, I had a bit left over from work I did on a 1972 beetle resto I worked on many years ago.
It has a sport-tuned which to me is the perfect match. It drives so beautifully!

Great looking job. The paint details on the driver are amazing and I really like the wiring details at the back to bring the engine to life.

Incredible detail, nicely done!

Your wheels are the closest I've ever seen to actual 5-lug VW rims. Did you 3D print those?

Thanks for the kind words guys. The wheels and vw engine are from Knight Customs (toykid here on TC). They're centres that go over the stock wheels.
