Bought this locally.
It hasn't been driven many battery charges, probably ended up in a crash and bent the front arm shafts on the right side.
Came with original box, Japanese manual + English copy and a clean 7.2 volt battery.
Also came with a Simprop SAM radio, a big lump of a radio meant for airplanes.

Nice find mate looks in really tidy condition! Love the Scorcher big time! Love that Sam FM radio too!

You could almost call it a time capsule, James.
These good old icons need to be taken care of!
This one has been in the box since its crash in 80
I'll have to go through the parts box to see if I can get it ready for a beach trip when summer returns!

Thats so original and complete. Looks brush painted, will you be stripping and restoring?

@Scorchio
A little unsure about how much I'm going to do with this one at first. I should probably strip the bodywork down and repaint it, at least if it's going to swap places on the shelf with the 2010 edition!

Wow, what a score! Can it come any more vintage than this? Fantastic !

Great find. Would you use brake fluid to strip that ABS body?

@GoFast80
A little unsure which method to use.
Haven't checked how well the paint sticks.
Read about a graffiti remover here on the site that sounded good.
