Another vintage 1:8 Track car. Graupner was also sold as Garbo.

Very nice find from Sweden, complete with everything. I also like the paint and livery. My best 'pusher' Tomas Karlsson got hold of this for me. The car looks only lightly used.

It's not the first version. This 82' version is improved with a very beefy differential and a different front axle. It also has an early version of quick change levers on the rear wheels. Everything just looks so solid and well made.

The car was made by HB (Helmut Bernhart, Germany) and sold by Graupner.

The car was designed for a 3,5 ccm engine from OS or HB.

If you check out the related model: 1982 SG Columbia MK II you will quickly understand why that car was so VERY competitive. This Expert car, even though nice and solid, was very much outdated compared to the newly designed SG (and PB). Which is not far from today's cars.

Thanks for looking and comments are always welcome.

I remeber seeing these in that thick Graupner catalogue. These were lightning fast in those days. Cool kit!
