Recent bargain, less than a year old for 150
A chassis I had originally dismissed because of the amount of tuning needed to make it workable became the reason why I wanted it.
I wanted a car that needed tinkering because most of my other models are 'complete' in that they are setup ready for running now.
Released approx. 3 years ago on a chassis that is maybe 10 years old.
Although an on-road car, hpi decided to favour durability with flexible plastics over precision parts.
So now I have a small project, the flaws have had plenty of discussion over the years but gives me something to wrench on etc between running other vehicles.
As you can see the car is in great condition, it has the hopup speed gears installed, the body has taken the brunt of a flip, probably skided along for a fair few meters on its roof.
Speed gears are 53t spur / 44t pinion (48dp)
3s lipo ESC
4000kv motor
Wheel covers
Shock height will be tuned
EC3 esc connector will be installed.
Some hop-ups I'll probably end up installing ...
Turnbuckles for arms and steering
Carbon fibre shock towers
Gyro
Sway bars
Next steps are for a thorough examination and tweaks, esc connector change before a test run.
I have setup and configured the esc straight away.
