My First Vintage Purchase (#15)

Prologue: I started this hobby around 1990 as my father bought a Tamiya Grasshopper II - This ignited a fire, a deep passion for radio controlled cars which I still enjoy.
I had dark ages, times were I did not own any RC equipment, and started again by the end of 2021. In my showroom entries, I want to introduce all models I bought since then and share some historic memories.

This is a showroom entry in the making, as I currently have not that much time, but wanted to share my latest addition to my collection.

It is a pre-loved Grasshopper II Super G and after my first inspection, I think it was a good purchase. The front tires are shot (dry-rotted), but still usable. The 540 motor was upgraded to a 540 Torque Tuned (which I quite like). As far as I see, the model is ball-raced, which is quite a nice surprise and I hope I am right! ;)

Sadly, one of the rear rims is broken and was glued together. I will check this out later. All in all, I am quite happy, as I now have a vintage model with manual speed controller and gold-plated screws, like my first ever RC car. Now I ask myself: Should I also buy this NIB Mad Bull which was offered to me last week...? ;)
