Dyna Blaster for the Tamico Offroad Cup
My plan to attend the first Tamico Offroad Cup race of the season didn't go as I thought. I wanted to race the Wheelie and 4WD classes, but for various reasons had to give my 4WD entry to someone else.
None of the other classes really appealed to me, until I found a fairly new Dyna Blaster for a very, very low price on ebay.
While the spot in the Truck class was secured, I new that in general a Dyna Blaster might be the ticket to the podium (at least for people with a driving talent that I clearly lack), but reliability and parts availability could potentially cut the race weekend short.
But thanks to some very talented and friendly people on this forum and quite a bit of money changing hands, this Dyna Blaster will probably survive the race at EDC Kinzigtal and continue to perform on other tracks.
Parts used:
- full set of alloy hop ups from Custom RC Parts
- 3D printed gear case with Tamiya TD4 slipper and ball diff
- carbon front deck and battery brace
- Revolution Design o-rings in stock shocks
- Tamiya Torque Tuned motor, Hobbywing 1080 esc and SRT BHX6 servo

Looks nice in yellow (that was the official race colour for Belgium so maybe I'm a bit biased). Good luck at the Tamico Cup.

This one I missed for sure. Last year I followed the cup on the net, this years I wanted to combine it with a week of holiday. I bought a servo and some parts from last years winner in one class, and I simply like the change to box art, even if I ignore if you did the paintjob, you see it easily from the driver stand. Good luck and if allowed from rules, you could put some 'damper socks' to cover the dampers and protect them from dirt. Good luck !
