After being impressed with the MTX, I started to think about others in the Hobao range.
I saw this at a great price as a project to test, tune and compare to my Vorza.

Clear chassis protector vinyl installed
Test run today, a nimble machine, will look to strip down and tune diffs, they feel light.
Will try 16t/17t pinion to get to 40mph+
Speed test with 48t spur and 14t pinion
4s = 35mph.

I have been tempted to pick up a Hobao its a manufactured that's been alien to me but keep hearing good things!

Both models I have now have a nice quality to them, I'd recommend the 80 percent roller versions
I've raced hobao for about 20 years most durable rc brand I've owned, not a tunable as others but competitive if you can master driving
