A Super Hornet!
Finally got my hands on a very clean super hornet from 1993! At first glance it has not been used very much at all. Period electronics all present with transmitter. Not tested so far. Wheels and tyres very good condition. No cracks can be found on body shell or chassis. Delighted . I will strip it down and possibly remove old decals and apply some new ones and paint driver etc. lovely addition to the hornet family!
Update 28/5/2025
Stripped buggy and rebuilt. Had to purchase axle springs and new oil cap as it was missing. Got rid of the plastic bearings and added some rubber sealed bearings throughout. I replaced the damper oil and added new oil seals. I removed existing decals, sprayed the body shell with some semi gloss black and added new decals. I gave the driver a splash of colour too! Not sure if he has a name ? . Finally the tyres are good but the fronts do have a few age related cracks. I might replace in the future but they should have some life in them yet!

This brings back good memories! My best mate bought one of these as his first RC car, the same time I bought my TA-02 Lancia Delta. On road, my Lancia would leave it for dead, but off-road, the Hornet was king! We used to run them on a golf course that was close to his house, I remember him going hell for leather one-day, forgetting the huge drop onto one of the tees! To be fair, nothing broke! I'm hoping he 'gifts' it to me one-day...

Great story lupogtiboy, thanks for sharing . The original hornet was my first proper RC, when the super hornet was first released my interests had moved on. Looking forward to getting stuck into this one

The toughest skatepark buggy I ever had was the Superhornet! Outlasted everything else and was a hoot! Enjoy.

Not that popular in my view for reasons you said trev82 but ask anyone if they would like to see a rere and its damn yes!!!
I love the idea of the Super Hornet more then the buggy itself! I probably don't make any sense but l am definitely a fan!
