Recently started rebuilding this from a used basic chassis that arrived in the collection a number of years ago.
Chassis was originally very basic, and very well used! Full disassembly revealed:
- Some bent hinge pins
- Bushes, both plastic and brass
- Gunky yellow grease in the gears by the bucketload!
- Some missing parts

Plastic parts were washed in the ultrasonic cleaner, then dried and checked for condition, and any duds replaced. Replacement hinge pins were added where necessary, and a full TL01 compliment of new bearings was added. Chassis also received upgrade lightweight kingpins, as one of the stock parts was MIA.

Car has a Flying Point black silver can motor installed (I have a few spare), as well as some basic wheels and tyres and a body from the collection. The body has definitely seen better days, and is painted in a slightly incorrect shade... plus, also looks to be the wrong type of paint. Not sure if I will just add a little more paint just yet, or whack on a spare body from the shed.

Soon to have the remaining gear installed, and then this will be tested on the superhighway that is my driveway. From there, who knows.... probably off to eBay :P

Clean chassis Not too bad condition Motor needs longer wires! Not great, but not bad. Nothing says Tamiya like a TL01 chassis Body is..... there. With the recent rebuild family.
