Never run Tamtech Lamborghini Countach 1:12 unloved and hidden in an italian shoe box for nearly 20 years and now proud to have it as reading that this one is some people's all time favorite Tamiya rc car :-)
Glossy and shines like new, not even needed to dust it off, even if the first years it was a shelf queen between glass as the glass door broke while installation, I surely cleaned it before putting it in the shoe box. Body clipping system not easy at all and rear ride height has to be increased! RTR model, bought it when it came out at a great price, in my first collecor years, just to have a Tamtech again and I threw the RTR box away, what a pity, shame on me :-)

1 original RTR electronics 1 not easy to fit the body on it with this clip sys.

Beautiful car!
These Tamtech gear cars are great and underrated imo.
Thanks for sharing!
Best regards,
Rick

Some nib Tamiya Tamtech F1 cars will follow soon in my showroom. As a Tamtech Gear, I could have bought the green Porsche Vaillant from a seller I bought 10 rc cars in 2 night sessions at his home, but I did not, very big mistake and for 50 quid it would have been a bargain even if there was perhaps some moisture on it. I now decided that I want the other 3 of the series too but I have time, no hurry! Thanks for liking Tamtechs

These are nice to look at, but not particularly Tamiya-like. That's why they're cheap as chips and largely spurned by collectors. Perhaps a little more desirable in another30 years' time...

@scoobybooster: I partly agree. They are nice to look on, they once were cheap, they already aren't and become collectors, chassis is nicer as I first thought, is definately Tamiya like, black plastic and it is 1:12 which was the very beginning of Tamiya RC so a little nostalgic playing too, hope you are still right that they are cheap as chips, as I want the other 3 Thanks for walking by

Actually, there were 5 cars:

Porsche 934 Jägermeister
Porsche 934 Vaillant
Porsche 935 Martini
Lamborghini Countach
Ferrari 250 gto

I have them all and I think that they are very much Tamiya: ingenious bodymounting system, battery changement without removing the body, cantilever inboard front shocks, ball diff, CVD's etc etc.....
Also they are lovely to drive and a joy to watch.
I have the Porsche 935 fitted with a sport tuned motor, 3 racing oil filled shocks, CVD's, wheels/tires and led lighting: imo it doesn't come much closer to what Tamiya stands for: over enginered and very, very scale.
Just my two cents,
Best regards,
Rick

@Rick. Thanks so much for correcting my error even if I perhaps just would purchase 1 x the Porsche 934, as I have acquired a nib vintage static 1:12 Porsche Jägermeister kit from the 70ies. And there was one Ferrari GTO I decided not to buy after lots of nights of overthinking. The transparent gearbox was interesting, I do not know what brand this was, for the rest I think lots of 3 Racing. I have many problems with the body installment. My understanding: First click in the rear, then the sides and at last the front, or was it the front first, then the sides and ... no the rear in the end is impossible, so back, thenm sides, then the front. Is that correct or what is the trick please. You seem to reallyhave lots more expertise [Click here]
