1979 Rough Rider
I acquired this one during the summer of 2024. It came as part of a package deal along with a Hilux 4x4, and the combined price was so favorable that, after successfully reselling the 4x4, I was essentially able to keep this unit at no cost.
In terms of restoration, I didn't have to do much beyond reassembling and thoroughly cleaning the chassis. The original front bumper was damaged, so I replaced it with a re-release version. The bodywork had already been reasonably well done by the previous owner not flawless, but satisfactory enough to leave as-is for the time being.
I took it for a quick run through the garden at sunset - what a blast from the past :-)
