My first Tamiya , number 1

Drove them in 1:1 , just.. had to have one,

by far my favorit. But, i am not objective!

This is my Tamiya, with this model the trouble really started!

Had great fun building this one, did took some time to do it!

But, in my humble opinion, one of the best trucks tamiya ever made..

Volvo diesel pooweeerrrrrr ;)


This one has as mod's:

- GPM alloy rimms front & back

- Added Wedico alloy air horns

- Wedico rotating allert lights (working)

- Carson bullbar

- Custom Licence plate (see 3e picture)

Still got some fine tuning to do on that, but, the basics are there.

The real FH series became 'Truck of the year' in 1994,

For a truck builder like Volvo this is a great honer.

Something like the best constructor in the Formula 1

In real life, these FH12 where there in diffrent engine layouts

340, 390, 420, 476, 520 HP. With his 520HP the FH had for a while the record of the strongest working truck

of europe.



Just to be diffrent, my model is a 500HP version,

seen on the sides of the truck with homemade decals



Also the 1/14 truck has some technical specs:

Wide : 188 mm

Weigt : 2820 g

Gearbox : 3 speed 'new style'
