Well I got me another MRC Road Winner. This time it's a NIB. While the box is beat to hell the buggy is in good condition albeit a bit dirty from sitting in a hobby shop for 15 years. This included the model with controller and an overnight battery charger that did not appear to belong to this buggy. All appears to be functional but also seems to suffer from the problems of older radio designs in that the radio gear is very slow in response time.

After some research I find that this is a fairly rare buggy that originally started out as the Bandai Interceptor. (Thanks to Jason Lovell -- Wldnas for this info) :D Jason also is the current owner of the previous Road Winner I had.

So anyway, this is one of the last incantations of the old Bandai kit and now (in the mid 1980's) produced in very limited numbers by MRC whom also wanted to cash in big on the RC buggy craze. It has a very 'Hotshot'ish look to it including the Gold colored wheels, red paint scheme and tire design.

Overall this one is tidy and I think makes a very nice addition to my buggy collection.

Thanks for doing them pic of the car bottom for me they have modified the underside and battery fitting of the car quite a bit from the earlier Bandai and Monogram versions, but it makes for easier battery changes
