This is in another league...!

In mid 2003 I bought an indoor micro electric r/c helicopter to play with. It's a Chinese copy of an Ikarus Piccolo and has been a source of great challenge, both to fly (hard work) and maintain (keeps falling to bits, breaking, crashing etc). Christmas 2003 and Claire bought be the mother of all gifts in the shape of a Thunder Tiger Raptor 30 V2 kit and all the gubbins to make it go which includes : Sanwa RD6000 computer radio, Thunder Tiger Pro 39 HR engine etc etc. I built it up over a period of six hours or so and test flew it on 2nd January 2004. I got it to hover for just a few seconds at a time, but bearing in mind I've never flown one before I reckon this was pretty good...!
