I stumbled on this quite by accident. It was for sale on the bay and quite rough. Body broken, rearend shock mounts broken, missing everything, mainly a bunch of parts. I do not to this day know what possesed me to buy this pile of junk, but I did. It was under 20.00 US. It sat around until I found some wheels and a speed control for it and I put a Green Machine motor in it and ran her out side. Except for the awful bumpsteer, it was fast and kind of fun. I thought what the heck, a good car to learn how to drive with. There is no tarmac where I live, so it was quite an experience keeping it going in a straight line. I decided to put some upgrade shocks and the next time I ran it, it broke the shock mounts clear off the gear box. Nuts! So, one day on the bay, I found the Thorp hop-up gear box with speed gears, and of course it had the new mounts. I fixed the problem that broke it in the first place, shock mounts were hitting body and it ran pretty good. Then I found a metallic blue body from a chap in the UK for a very reasonable price. It needed painting, but it had the lights and driver, so I decided what the heck. I got it, roughed it up, wet sanded it, primer, wetsand and 4 coats of gloss white. I printed up a set of stickers, and glossed over them. It looks pretty much like the box except all the Scorcher guy's have nabbed all the wheels. If a set comes my way, hint, hint, I will finish the job. I still have the basher body, and this one is for the shelf. I have changed my opinion of the lowly Grasshopper, I kind of enjoy it.
