I got this off eBay, looked a bit ropey. But when it arrived the body was spotless and the chassis in very good condition :)

I had another ranger body that needed alot of work and decided to use that as the runner body and the good one could be saved for the shelf.

I had to glue the roof back together, scrape the the thick red gloss paint off with a knife (!), I had a spare front glass and grill and was given a new tailgate (many thanks biggusditchus).

The paint is Olive Drab and the decals are FAV. I need to finish the driver and add a rear window then the running body will be finished.

The good body still needs stripping but should look cool with Blue Mica paint and a set of Netsmith decals.
The chassis has a metal rear guard at the moment (hope to get an original plastic one soon)

Fitted a set of old Acoms gear, have a NIB speed controller coming and steering rod assembly.
Also fitted a new set of hardened steel UJ's.
I already had the bumper from when I was a kid.
The motor is a 20 year old parma porsche (needs testing). Will update the pictures when I get my hands on a decent camera!

Just got an XR311 driver for it and original antenna, also added afew WW2 decals to finish the body off.

***UPDATE*** Its now running! The speed controller has arrived from Hong Kong and now thats fitted it works, can't wait to let her rip when I charge the battery! Still need to finish driver and show body though. : )

Just got a NIB rear cage, dampers and ballraces.

Still has a spring in its step!

That turned out quite nice! I was looking forward to see the result. Now get that baby muddy to make it look even prettier.

Hey, great idea! I was just telling a friend I'd like to see one in camo, but this is the next best thing! Nice job!
