This was my first Associated racing buggy. I think it's on the fringe of vintage. I raced this one pretty well and it was beat-up and worn out. It's been restored to it's current condition in the pictures.

While replacing broken parts, I upgraded using some aftermarket parts. I upgraded the universals with MIP CVDs. The broken steering bellcrank/servo saver was replaced with MIP's ball bearing steering system. FYI, these the CVDs are still available at Towerhobbies. I used HPI super star universal buggy wheels which unfortunately, are no longer made. Pro-Line front tires and Duratrax rear tires replace the worn out rubber. I also added a Lunsford titanium turnbuckle set.

The electronics include an old Novak 410M5 and Futaba radio gear. I've installed a vintage Reedy Ultra Mr R 16x3. Also, with the Assocaited cranking out Viper bodies again, I painted and decaled a new body.

Hiding in the weeds...how stealthy. I like the racing stripes. Inside
