This is one of my best models. I mowed a lot of lawns to afford this truck. I had already owned a hilux when Tamiya unveiled the Bruiser. They had ansered all wishes with it. Bigger tires, bigger motor, one piece body, fleetside bed, and better suspension. I bought one in late 80's and drove the heck out of it, great truck.
Had it laying around the basement for years, it was in really rough shape, lots of parts missing. Went to E-bay to see if it was worth selling, what a surprise! This is how I found out that the vintage cars had become collections. Thus began the restoration.
I bought everything I needed off the bay, and I spent plenty! Parts were not cheap and the sellers knew it. Regardless in about 6 months I aquired everything I needed. Took the truck completely apart and reassembled with polished parts, ball races, and stainless fasteners.
I am 100% satisified with the results, drove her around the basement once and now she sits proud on the shelf.

This photo is from the 80's Still from the 80's Same truck now restored.
