This was my first car, an ebay purchase. I got it for a good, not great price. It was complete and had no work done on it. I am going to finish it like my daily driver, which is the same car. Update. I finally finished this model after my real car. After painting the Mudblaster to match my other Brat, I kind of put this one off until I decided to leave my '82 the color it came. I was toying with matching spark blue ones, but decided the black looks good after all. You would not believe where the real one has been. It will push snow with the grille and climb like a goat. It's dual range 5 speed makes it a nice cruiser to boot, although like the model, it is no speed demon. If it is sunny soon, I will photograph it on the real one.
The 1:1 is in the shop for restoration. Yes, I still have it, and every car on here. It should be done by spring now that aircraft aren't using all of my time. I do miss my plane but it was time. The daily driver part hasn't applied since '09. It has set since then. My daily driver is a BMW Z3 now, the Brat will get restored and retired except for special occasions. Wife wants a new house and the economy is favorable, spring is going to be busy.

Nice sunny day! My driver got sunglasses and a mustache. Drivers side on the roof of the real car. A man named Marlowe makes these plates. 1/10. Front of the real car and my plates, + the Tamiya! Passenger side. All stock inside, black MSC, etc.

I can't believe you have not recieved more comments. I think this model is superb! It really looks great, and I like the personal touch you have added by modelling it after your 1:1. I have never liked this body style, but you've done a hell of a job with the paint, and the plates are just the icing on the cake! Keep charging!

Thanks PE, I appreciate your compliment. New paint gear coming this week and a slug of projects are going to get it all at once. Kepp your eyes on this space!

I really must say this model has made me respect the Brat model more. I do think it is a shame that the 1:1 didn't get that kind of ground clearence, but then the motor couldn't power over much anyway.

Oh, I don't know Crash, mine has a 3 inch lift kit and 14' tires and wheels, with the high low transmission in 4wd, it may no go through it fast, but it has always got me home. It will creep over almost anything and the bottom is armour plated. Thanks for the compliment none the less!

Love it!!!!! The black and gold stripes somehow work on it too. l did mine in black but with the yellow and red stripes. Great looking car and l love your 1:1. Subaru's always were good at 4x4ing around, that flat four engine sounded great too.
