UPDATE 3/07 This is going to take some time, Oh well it was worth it
I got this on my hunt for old parts. I couldn't beleive they only wanted $30 for a Fox, then I saw it. I think there is someone out there with a new chassis and some gold wheels and tires. I have some parts to trade now, so I didn't think it was such a bad investment. I always liked the look of the car, just didn't dig the closed chassis, but I couldn't resist the chance to get a runner and have fun with a vintage. Now that I have totally disassembled the car, I have come to admire the closed chassis. I really think this car could be a bunch of fun. I can't wait to get it up and running with my HotShot project. Okay all you Fox owners, give me a shout with left over parts and any info on what always breaks. Thanks
UPDATE: I just got a nice used chassis to help me along for sure(THANKS Drewboyaus!!!!). I could use a better runner body, but I have two that are already beat up, so maybe I won't worry as much when I drive it. I will be extra careful to avoid damaging the front end like I received it. Since I have a bunch of projects ahead of it, I will have to move it up on the priority list.

I am building this and with some nice hop uphops to be a runner. I can show you a little as I am waiting on a part or two still.

These things were an absolute scream to drive, with a very good turn of speed, even with the stock 540. Enjoy.

You should take a look at my Fox and you'll see how it is suppose to look

mine broke just like the one you show below, just recently got a new chasis. Piece of advice about this baby, stay of the streets, one shot to a curb will do this, I had my radio go out in full speed....

Heck of a deal for restore condition! The Fox is a fun car to work on. Not sure if Tamiya ever designed another car that uses the same chassis?

No other chassis has been made that is the same. The Fox is one of the very few that is specific to itself.Makes a hard time getting spares like drive axles, but I can't wait to get this one going. I think ONLY the wheels were shared by some ingenious hobbiests on other vehicles and that is it.

Chassis shot looks very Tidy, I love driving mine, superb handling (need front stabiliser!) I was beating a Boomerang easily!

Hey, those rims look familiar to me!!!!! lol
Crash Cramer
You mean you bought those rear wheels from Petrohead, Steve??? I had only rears and I think he found some fronts on TC or the bay. It would seem those wheels have gone round the globe.

The rims I have -came from a car I bought on Ebay

I thought that was what I read, but you never know.

Nice find and well worth it IMO. Looks like it's coming along nicely.

Crash, I know this is old, but if you still need parts, I have tons, but mostly in runner condition, I have used all my nice parts. The things that break a lot (and that I don't have spares of) are the control arms. Watch out for them. If you are going to run this a lot, get every control arm (F and R parts) you see that is a good deal.

Justin, Thanks for the offer. I still wish I had kept those Proline rear wheels. I think at this point, this car might still be in different pieces, but the broken chassis has been put out to pasture.
