I picked up a TA01 and then fell into a FRP chassis for same. The original had a Subaru WRX body, which does not belong on that chassis, but it looked ok and is in great shape. So, I decided to get a TA01 body and started looking at them in the model section. This one really caught my fancy. It is a two toned paint scheme, which is a bit unusual for Tamiya. More are single than double by a good distance. It is a lot more difficult to do right than it looks. The paint lines are not symetrical side to side. That makes studying location of your tape lines a bit tedious. Once the blue is in, it is simply a matter of removing the yellow mask and putting the yellow on. After removing the mask, be sure and wipe the inside very carefully or you will have little particles of blue paint in your yellow. Thank goodness for stickers. There are more than a hundred stickers on this car if you count the wheels. It is a very time consuming task. I spent the better part of 3 nights putting these on. The chassis is like all FRP's, goes together very easily and is a fine piece of work. I put a Speed Gem in it, 12 turn, heavy duty prop shaft, ball raced it, adjustable castor and cambor, unlimited ESC and FM radio. I won't run it however, the body just has too much time in it. I do love the Cosworth, and this is one of my favorite liverys. If you really want a challenge, pick one of these up. They can still be had fairly reasonably, and you will feel like you have accomplished something when finished!

A beauty, I hate myself for not buying one a year ago when they were sold cheaply
Nice...but the background view (your backyard) is worth a million bucks!!!!

I've never really been a fan of these cars, but looks like you've done another great job! Are there any trout running in that stream?
Super job on a difficult sticker set. Wish mine turned out as well.

Yes Josh there are. It has Kokanee salmon run in the fall to spawn, Brownies and Rainbow. Both are native and fight like the dickens. Come on up an we will fish it, I have one of the best holes on the creek!

Thanks for the invite Bradd. I would like nothing more, except maybe a Mounty, but I don't think I will be getting up there any time soon. My door is always open to you as well. If you get time before I do, come on down!
