I picked this up at Model Expo 2004 at the NEC from the Antics stand. Knocked the fella down to £65 which I though was good value and I've finally got a car which I've been after for ages. Very happy. This one will be built and most probably run.
Update...! Didn't last long NIB...! Built it yesterday with Claire helping. Painted today and decal'd it up. Flippin' masking tape left tacky residue on the shell which was impossible to get off, hence a dodgy bit of paint around the white roof. Other than that goes well. Bashed it into a kerb though and punched a small hole in the shell on it's first run, poor Mini. Still, you can't really tell. Went for 30 minutes running flat out with the stock 540 and a 2000 pack...! Has got bearings in now as well and is fitted with an mTroniks Eco 27 ESC and Futaba 40MHz r/c...
***UPDATE*** I have now added a set of TRF Fluorine Coated Shocks to the car and have the following ready to add on : TA-03 Ball Diff, Universal Shaft Set, Acto Power-M Special Motor. Should be nice. Already handled better with the TRF shocks, although they are probably overkill for a Mini...!
***UPDATE*** I have installed the upgrades and it now absolutely flies...! That 35t Acto-M motor is a rocket...! I think I need to get a metal heatsink though. Handles great with the ball diff - more traction, but it's now all but impossible to drive on a damp track. ...!
***UPDATE*** I have now installed aluminium front uprights as well. The car is completely hopped up...!!!
TRF Shocks are overkill...? Nah...!!!
