Midnight runner... my fav for running about the swing park.
Update;
Its been a while since I have updated Tamiyaclub
I have restored the model and upgraded to oil filled shocks and gone back to a sport-tuned motor. I think when I was 15 I used car paint to paint body. This was a nightmare to remove.
Note the body has the original alternative decals.
This is one of my favourite cars to drive as the high capacity Ni-Cads (RC2400) of these days make it last for a good 30mins play time. I've had the model from new for about 15 years, still with original tyres, gears etc. My brother had a Lunchbox when I had my first car the Monster Beetle, as I sold the beetle and I always had a soft spot for the Pumpkin I decided to get one. The model has been upgraded with genuine Tamiya Sealed bearings throughout with a Super Stock TZ Motor to boot... for extra grunt!!! careful thottle control is called for. Otherwise, the model is completely standard. However, a small change to the original design is that the rubber tubing spacers for springs which limit the travel of the springs on the front of the model have been put over on chassis side to counter act the extreme understeer the Pumpkin/Lunchbox chassis suffers from under full throttle. This gives the model better cornering at high speed and the front suspension/tyres are now at 0 chamber and stops the tyres from wearing badly on the outer edge and it now has a slight squat which I think makes the car look even better.
