One of the Kyosho rail chassis buggies. As you can see from the other item on my page this has gone through a complete restoration. Thanks to Tamstar from Austria for the original chassis, Kev from the UK, Erik Swe from Sweden and Jet hanger for all the NIB parts and instructions.

Interesting things to note on a Tomahawk resto, the instructions and box art do not match the decal set supplied with the kit - well the one I had anyway. This meant I improvised a little. I also noted that Kyosho spent the time to detail a raised section on the roof, sugesting a seperate part, so instead of painting it in the red body colour I decided to go with a silver. I have also decided not to paint the center of the wheels black, I just love the chrome too much.

In addition Kyosho also instruct you to remove all the windows on the body - looks great, especially with the netting but I would hate to roll the car whilst driving.

Only thing left to do is add radio gear and find some rear wheels in Chrome (the ones seen are sprayed) Maybe go the whole way and track down a set of Goodyear tires front a rear.

Better in many ways than the SRB but I wish Kyosho had spent more time on the driver figures. Adding a seperate drivers head to the existing PC moulding (as tamiya did with the Wild One) wouldn't have broken the bank. But a Fantastic kit regardless.

Next on the list is a nice Scorpion or Turbo Scorpion.

Here you can see the roof detail

Incredible looking Sand Rail, don't suppose you could send a pic of chassis/front servo mount area? have recently a resto one and going to use a Scorpion repro shell.
