Talking to one of the housemates about our hobbies, mentioned I collect buggies and he says he has one in the airing cuboard that he rescued from a skip 5 years ago and I could have it.
So up I belted to the airing cupboard and found.....well I am not sure what I found.
Subsiquent investigation shows its, possibly, a Schumacher but not which model as all the ID parts have been removed and replaced with the funky alu ones.
Sooooo....if anyone can help identify it, I would appreciate it. It came with an Acoms Techniplus Alpha TX/RX if thats any help.
***UPDATE 30/08/04***It has now been identified as a Traxxas Nitro Hawk with dyed parts and expensive shocks. Need to source some parts and a body to make it look pretty again.
And big thanks to Joe (Volksrod) for cleaning it for me as I am a wimp and don't want to take it apart. :)

The Acoms gear would suggest it is radio controlled, and I would guess nitro, judging by the angle of the front shock tower

Andy you do talk some rubbish, its obviously an electric car you can tell that by the exhaust and the round wheels. by motorsportnicko

Yo Nick, with the exception of the Blizzard, all nitro's have round wheels, I can't believe you are still subscribing to these outdated theories!

The Motor does say '15 ZX', not sure if its the original motor or not. Its all too confusing for lil' ol' me.

I'm guessing a Traxxas Hawk or similar, the suspension parts and driveshafts look exactly the same as an old Traxxas truck i used to own.

Its definitely a Traxxas, the white slider driveshafts and old blue shocks give it away. The suspension parts originally would be moulded white, and it looks like they have been dyed with fabric dye to give the purple colour. Not sure on the specific model, I suspect it's the Nitro Hawk.
