I saw this auction with a very poor picture on ebay,
it was obviously a Monster beetle body but could not really tell the condition. it looked like a complete nose cone so I figured it would be worth a try. Noone had bid so I put in $5 and figured i wouldnt get it........ I DID LOL!!

the body has some very strange paint texture, it almost looks like it is rusted HAHA!! A few cracks and holes int the roof near the sunroof, but no other cracks, I am sure it will strip down nicely. this will be used on my current scorcher runner project:D

a couple of white racing stripes, a number on each door and some sponsor stickers and it will look good mate
make it look like a retro racer thats been stood in a yard for 20 years. Nice find.

yuck, that body looks like it has a nasty skin condition. Nothing a can of easy off can't fix though.

I can tell you, that is not rust - that looks like what happens when different types of paint react chemically in a negative way to eachother. Strip it off, only then will you see if the plastic has any damage left from the chemical reaction.

Hi Joe I thought about that , unfortunatily the body has a big clean spot on the one side, so the rusto racer look would not work

Woa, and I thought the paintjob on my Monster Beetle was bad!! If mine's anything to go by, a month in brake fluid will just about strip that off and leave it ready to paint. Can't be bad for $5 though, I wonder if the chrome is intact on the headlamp rims

wow i think this think looks cool.. it reminds me of when i was a kid and just found a old rusted out VW and made some hard core dune buggys out of them.... and for 5 you got a steal
