After seeing a set cut on another forum and hearing of the increase in offroad performance from Jezbian I decided to cut a spare set I got off Astrovannin. This was done by using curved bodyshell scissors to cut the every other outside lug off before dremelling the tyre smooth. Just need to find some decent looking wheels now! Cheers to Dustin for tyres and Jez for the advice!
UPDATE; Tyres now mounted and tested. Ended up using Schumacher white 5 spokes, not pretty but they are offset and very strong plus I had a few pairs kicking about. As for their performance, there is a noticable improvement in climbing at my test area, an old tree stump. Whilst not giving the ability to climb a vertical slope, it has improved things so has to be worth doing, especially if you are fortunate enough to have some spare tyres.

Great to see they went to good use! I forgot I even gave you those. Its too bad HPI dosent make the Geolandars in the right size. I just got a set of the 2.2s and they look awesome.

Good idea, let us know how they perform.
