This is the first car that my son Matt and I have built together from scratch. Kit was bought from Fusion at Kidder - great deal James :-) Collected up the usual alloy add-ons - shocks, prop-shaft, motor-mount - plus an RZ 23-turn motor and bearings for the axles. Assembly was OK though the kit is not as precise as others that I've (re)built; we had particular trouble getting the motor/spur cover on and I'm still not happy that it fits properly.

For the bodywork we decided to go away from the box-art and chose PS-16 metallic blue to match the shocks with metallic silver 'Viper' stripes down the body and wing. The photos don't really convey the lovely deep colour - I'll do some more outside when it's sunny. I put a selection of the black and silver decals on, avoiding the pink ones!

The GH certainly shifts on tarmac, but I don't feel inclined to take it off-road until we can sort out the droooooopy rear suspension :-( There also still seems to be a lot of 'drag' in the drive-train so still some sorting to do yet.

Nice looking car mate - I think the deeper blues look better than the box-art colour. I agree about the rear suspension though, but my lad has taken his offroad and it seems more robust than the floppy rear end would suggest

Very nice, maybe also paint or replace the wheels with silver?

Like the colour scheme. Saw Evoman's version at Kidder and was well impressed by how fast these things are.

That looks very nice. Makes me want one more. I think we should get Chris to market some TamiyaClub.com stickers for projects such as this where minimal decals are better looking and garner more attention.

very nice paint job and car. You didnt avoid the pink decals completely, i spy something pink above the windscreen!

Doh! - you're right Allie. The 'shadow' round the Tamiya lettering is indeed pink. Scalpel time I think...
