Kyosho Turbo Optima Mid 4WD
- <i><u>OVERVIEW :</u></i>
I got this for my for my 15th birthday as a replacement for my aging Tamiya Madcap 2WD that I used to race at my old club. The original shell was a bit duffed up so I replaced it with a Kyosho Lazer-ZR version to get me by along with some new wheels.
The car was raced at club level, indoors and out, for about 10 months solid without any mechanical failures - the car has been looked after extreamly well and treated with a lot of respect and how it has lasted !
On the track the car was superb and I can recal winning a lot of races in my class with it. I stoped racing within a year of getting the car and since then it has been stashed in the loft for the past 9 years, until finding this website I decided to restore it.
The Optima is a great car, very reliable, light and fast - My project is to fully restore this car and also to keep it running and drive (carefully) it here and there.
