I always lusted after one of these in my youth, and I couldn't deny myself when I saw Tamiya had re-released the bodyshell on a TT-01 chassis.

I just checked out the instructions for painting and applying the decals, and I have to say it looks a little daunting.

Plan on building and running it once I purchase a set of ball bearings, but I think the bodyshell will stay on the shelf.

Does anyone know if the HPI 190 mm Altezza or Nissan Silvia bodies will fit on the TT-01?

One of the best ever Tamiya body & wheel combo's!

Agree totally with you. Stunning looks. Have a original EVO II. But i´m to afraid of the shell to race it...

Yes they will fit. All you need to do is cut the holes for the body mounts. That's it. I was really leaning towards this one or the BMW. I cannot wait to see how you finish this puppy.

Yeah, I want the BMW as well, but the EVO II had to come first
I want to finish this one to match the box art, but I wouldn't mind doing an alternative livery on another body...(but my credit card can't take it a the moment!!)...
