This project really is a testament to how tamiya club is such a fantastic resource for the Tamiya collector;) This car started out when I saw a Frog in TC members ‘Tamiyamandan” showroom, he had a frog that he built up using the dark gray chassis and a truck load of aftermarket hop ups. Well through our conversations I managed to talk Dan into parting with the beauty. At about the same time I was painting a brat Body for TC member “kaindi” it was a Mudblasrter body that was being painted orange. Tommy asked me if I would be interested in the body since he no longer had the chassis for it, I quickly replied yes, and you can guess what happened then. I began the conversion of the frog into a brat. I had help from several Tc members Moosey, Volksrod, Kaindi (who also supplied me with the beautiful Chrome brat wheels!!) and of course big Dan!! Thanks to all you guys you really made this a special project for me:)

I added a blitzer beetle driver head with a flamed helmet as well:)
I can really see why this car is so popular; it has such a great look to it. I remember seeing so many brats when I was a kid, but sadly I haven’t seen one in years (unless the movie “Napoleon Dynamite” counts LOL!!!)

Very nice! The driver looks great. I'm not really a big fan of the Brat but seeing examples as good as this is changing my mind. Superb!
