Oh dear, look at this sorry specimin that appears to have been modified by Sid from Toy Story ! Check out the home made rear cage and wooden battery holder - nice. Body has seen some action and has been 'tastefully' modified with the addition of a roof spoiler. Fetching colour scheme of matt black and silver over original blue/white paint and decals. On the positive side it will yeild a few handy bits and for only £10 its a bargain. I saw it in a customers house I visited today and asked if he would sell it. And before you ask yes he was a bit strange and he did the 'restoration' work ! Now fully stripped but I am leaving it here as I think it is unique.

Take it he is not a member of the Tamiya Club then otherwise he may become an ex customer.

I would leave that one as is, sometimes we gotta remember that these are meant to have fun with! Chasing down parts, scouring ebay and paying $$$ for small bits gets tiring- gotta have fun once in a while and have a good laugh!

Hmmm, very tasteful body mods those, reminds me of some of the lovely cars at Lakeside (Essex ) on a Sunday eve

Make sure you varnish the wood chassis so it does not rot out from driving in the wet weather, and call Batman to tell him someone stole his Bat-wing!!!!!!

Does it fly with those wings?

I reckon previous owner wanted to either convert it into a Batmobile or a stealth beetle.

I have a Lunchbox copy from Maplins that has a very similar 'wing' (and I use that term loosely) on top. So this car is part Tamiya, part Maplin and part B&Q. Excellent...!

OMG! Just when you think you've seen it all this appears. We should have a section here on the site called chamber of horrors for such aquisitions. Good luck Daz! Looking forward to result (more spoilers and wood I hope )
