Love this little car, it's got an ESC, been ball-raced and had a Demon 19 turn - it's great fun! Minutes after the pictures of the blue paintjob were taken, I hit a big bump, flipped it and put a hole in the grill. It's been taped up and now looks like a dent.
The oil shocks are from a Yokomo touring car (thanks to a load of spares that came with some cars), in the same lot were some adjustable titanium turnbuckles, fitted them now as well :)
Everytime I run this car I'm amazed at how fast it runs - it screams along. I always managed to flip it before fitting some of the hopups (much easier to do than the M01 chassis Mini).
Painted another body metallic green, and painted the details such as fuel cap, lights, idicators instead of using the decals. Will try to keep this body nice.
Recently fitted a manta-ray ball diff thanks to another TC member selling one cheap, and I've just received some carbon plates to put over the shock towers - hoping to strengthen them up a bit a they look like the screw holes might split (same on my spare chassis as well).
The front bumper is off of a Baja Champ that I've since sold (I seem to remember the Baja Champ kits comes with 2 front bumpers and fittings).
Since taking the pics, I've installed a few other hopups - hollow carbon gear shafts, front and rear anti-roll bars, motor heatskink, TL01 Stainless steel suspension shafts and some assembly universal driveshafts, quick release battery holder - it handles excellent and is very hard to roll it now, just like a real mini you can't help but add bits to this chassis for that extra bit of fun.
If you liked those pictures, you should see these...
Got me back into r/c
